This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My band students come to high school knowing absolutely nothing about music, and in a few short years they are playing Stars and Stripes Forever. I also teach them how to read and compose music, and then perform their own compositions. They learn to compose using technology, but because we no longer have an office printer that can print out their compositions, they find it very difficult to annotate and share each others music.
This Epson Printer will allow my students to print, perform, and share their musical compositions with each other.
In addition, each instrument group is color coded, so this printer will allow me to create unique sets for each section. Finally, the students create opera projects in which they create scenes from operas, do research projects on opera composers, and design costumes for the characters in operas. A color printer will allow their projects to come to life. We would really appreciate this printer! Thank you!
