Developing Engaged, Confident, and Successful Readers

Help me give my students S.P.I.R.E decodable texts to support our current reading program. These stories will help bridge learning from decoding to fluency and comprehension for engaged, confident, and successful readers!

My Students

My 2nd grade friends are energetic, creative, courageous, and are working on building a growth mindset towards their education. We are learning to support one another and celebrate our own personal and learning differences. I have been so excited to see their individual progress this year. They have been faced with many challenges so far in their education, but still come to school ready to be a friend, work hard, and are becoming amazing learners.

My Project

When kids read decodable books, they're more likely to try to decode—to sound out the words. I am excited to have these books available for my students as they become readers. These stories will allow students to apply new phonics skills to connected text and supplement our current reading program.

Please help me to build a classroom library with engaging books that will support both my proficient and struggling readers!
