This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As our district strives to improve the curriculum to align with the TEKS so that students pass the Biology STAAR assessment and understand Biology effectively, they are turning to classroom teachers. I am requesting these items to help me effectively assist in curriculum writing. The school-provided laptop I currently utilize is ineffective, does not hold a charge, and has to be worked on at least once a week. As we prepare for curriculum writing at the beginning of the year and throughout the summer, there will not be any tech support to assist with my technical needs. The iPad is flexible and will allow me to work uninterrupted to prepare an efficient curriculum plan. It will allow me to travel to different conferences, take notes, and access information needed while on the go. The iPad is lightweight and efficient for traveling. It will also allow me to learn and use different software and websites as resources for teaching and curriculum writing.
