My Students
My students predominantly consist of 15-18-year-olds, who come from simple and humble homes in Salt Lake County Utah.
Many of my students come from English Language learning households and are eager to succeed and prove that just because English is not their first language, that won't hold them back.
They want to raise their community's footprint in up-and-coming "high-tech" fields.
My Project
My students come from all walks of life and some struggle to learn my IT courses in English. With this classroom set of headphones, they will be able to translate and listen to my material in the language of their choice while not disrupting their neighbor. Currently, my students have to try and hear the audio coming from the tiny speaker in their computer that is often dwarfed by other students talking and other speakers.
This will increase their sense of inclusion in my courses and help them keep up with their peers.
