This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are inherently happy little people but from time to time they are overcome by stress and anxiety. Many of them are coming to school for the very first time. Learning to be away from their families can be very stressful and anxiety provoking. These calming resources will help my students learn to self-regulate and manage their feelings while calming their emotions and thus reacting appropriately to overwhelming situations. The interactive visuals and charts will enable them to relate to the many facial expressions being displayed and teach them to calm their bodies and relax.
