This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My colleague and I are looking to create a classroom makerspace for our students in our Dual Language side-by-side classrooms. We have already chosen our dedicated spots for this STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) work and materials.
We believe that kids learn best through hands-on investigations, inquiry, and discovery, and so we plan to set up a makerspace for our students for them to explore and create when they are done with their regular tasks.
In order to begin setting up our makerspace, we will need your help collecting some craft supplies and material storage bins.
Thanks to generous donors, our projects for a 3D printer and building block supplies were just funded. Now we are requesting for some more craft supplies, rubber bands, brads, paper clips and materials storage bins to organize these supplies and make these materials easily accessible to our students.
