This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students have GRIT! Character. Spirit. Perseverance. Passion.

Cesar Chavez once said, "Preservation of one's own culture does not require contempt or disrespect for other cultures." I work with students from all over the world.

We have students from Central America, to students from the Philippines, Korea, Bangladesh, Thailand, Mongolia, and Africa. Our diversity makes us unique and our campus is a great big melting pot set up perfectly for all to learn and embrace others' cultures. We are combating prejudice and ignorance with knowledge as we prepare for today and life ahead.

My Project

And together we are on our way to college! To kick off the school year, my students will be making personalized college T-shirts. We need fabric markers so that they may create shirts with the college of their choice on it to wear for college spirit days at school.

Prior to selecting the colleges, the students will decide where their passions lie, and what they aspire to be.

Then they will research which colleges and universities are best suited for their career of choice. We will keep the research articles in the file folders requested and use the other art supplies to enhance our project.
