Desperately Needed New Classroom Tables and Chairs
Help me give my students sturdy, durable, classroom desks and chairs that will take the place of the wobbly, scratched, and stained furniture that we currently use.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My classroom is filled with desks and tables that are scratched, wobbly, and stained. My school has been recently remodeled and has a feeling of newness and shine, but the basic furniture in my class feels old and run down.
My students deserve to sit and work at desks that are sparkly and fresh.
Sitting and working in new chairs at new tables will show my students and their families respect, as well as inspire them to do their best and inspire me to teach at my best. New tables and chairs make the room more welcoming for parents, volunteers, and classroom guests.
Students interact with furniture all day long. They see it and touch it. They work, learn, eat, relax, socialize, and think on it. It is one of the core components of any classroom.
