This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work in the inner city, where my wonderful children received both free breakfast and lunch. Our district does not have the funds to help teachers get supplies that we need to build an environment to help our children learn and grow. My students' families are wonderful, but they do not have the funds to help our classroom get supplies.

My project is based on helping students through anchor charts that are made with the students' help.

These anchor charts, made with easel paper and markers, help me and the students check for understanding. Anchor charts once made are hung up around the classroom for students to refer to, to help them. The timer and composition books are for writing and center work. I also chose a rolling filing cart for students' work and assessments.

I am trying to build a classroom that has everything so that I will have the ability to give my students every chance to refer to things and see growth through their assessments. This will help them learn and grow.
