This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in the inner city where my children receive both free breakfast and lunch. Our district does not have money to help us give our students items that we need.

We desperately need items for our kids to play with when we have indoor recess, I picked items that kids would enjoy playing with and will keep them busy and engage with other students.

I asked students what kind of toys they would like to play with so that they would be engaged and would help students make friends and connect with other kids in our classroom.

We work so hard throughout the day that it is wonderful to enjoy time to be able to play.
