Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As the most current pedagogy in teaching continues to impact how to best provide our students with what they need in the classroom for the 21st century, it is essential to have the most updated knowledge and technology to ensure instruction is based on best teaching practices using current methodologies. Understanding the recent brain research about how children learn is critical in establishing daily lessons based on integration of grade-level standards along with teaching practices, and scaffolds for meeting student needs. In order to continue my own professional development, action-research, student data collection and analysis, and lesson planning, I need a desktop that is capable of many tasks.
An Apple iMac desktop can be a powerful tool that will enhance my teaching as well as my students' learning.
I will be able to participate in online courses and professional learning groups that will allow me to grow professionally in my knowledge of all academic areas. It will also allow me to collaborate with my colleagues to lesson plan. In addition, the desktop will also allow me to use standards and student data to plan for both short-term and long-term instruction. I will also use the desktop as a tool to prepare for the technological demands of our new Reading, Math, and Science Programs and keep me current as I continue to research and apply best teaching practices. I will be able to develop content-based learning opportunities to support my students in becoming strong and motivated learners in all areas and work towards meeting and exceeding state standards.
