This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year I will be teaching a wonderful group of Diverse Learners in grades K-3. In order to make our space conducive to learning we will be moving from desks to tables this year. This change will allow us to minimize bulky desk space and have working areas when students are present in the room. Given this shift, we need a place to store and organize our supplies and materials.
The rolling carts and bins will de-clutter tables, organize school supplies and instructional materials, and be home to their mailbox.
My classroom space lacks counters and storage space and this will be supportive of organizing student supplies and materials. In addition to using the rolling carts and bins to organize supplies, papers/folders, and materials, I am also asking for nameplates. The nameplates will allow the students to take them if needed to their workspace for the day and allow them to use the various visuals on their name cards to support their learning. These materials will be beneficial to the students in my classroom to support their learning and streamline organization for success!
