Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our library's podcast zone has become a hub of creativity, where students collaborate, create, and share their unique perspectives with the world. However, the computers currently available in our library can no longer support the latest editing software, limiting our students' ability to produce high-quality podcasts and videos. By securing a new desktop computer, we can provide our students with the tools they need to record, edit, and publish their work efficiently. The specific desktop we're requesting will have the processing power and storage capacity required for multimedia projects, allowing our students to learn valuable digital skills while expressing their creativity.

The primary goal of this project is to equip our podcast zone with a reliable, up-to-date computer that can handle the demands of modern editing software.

This will enable our students to produce professional-grade content that they can be proud of. We aim to foster a deeper understanding of media production, storytelling, and digital literacy, helping students build skills that will benefit them in their academic and future careers. Additionally, this project will encourage teamwork, as students will work together to plan, script, record, and edit their podcasts, developing communication and collaboration skills that are crucial in today’s world.

What makes our students special is that they are passionate about sharing their stories, ideas, and opinions, and they understand the power of their voices. By providing them with a new desktop computer, we can support their growth and creativity, helping them reach their full potential.
