My Students
My students are enrolled in a 50/50 English/Spanish dual-immersion program, where they receive 50% of instruction is Spanish and 50% of instruction in English every day by two different teachers.
Despite starting this school year through distance learning and being away from their friends and teachers almost all year, they started out the year as strong as ever and they came to Zoom every morning ready to learn.
Now we are ready to go back to school in person. I am so proud of how resilient they have been throughout this whole experience and I cannot wait to be able to meet them in person, because I know that my classroom (virtual or not) is full of amazing students who are talented, inquisitive and most importantly, eager to learn. They aren't afraid to make mistakes and are the bravest 8 and 9 year-olds I know.
I am so happy to be teaching about 40 students who are all of diverse backgrounds, and aiming to become bilingual citizens in this global economy.
My Project
Our students were finally given the option to come back in-person. I want to reassure parents I have taken every precaution to ensure our classroom is a safe environment for all students to come to school and feel comfortable and protected while doing so. These clear sneeze guards aka dividers are perfect to not only keep everyone safe, but also allow them to interacts and stay engaged with lessons going on in the front of the classroom. I know parents and students would appreciate these sneeze guards being put up in class.
