My Project

This year, I will be trying a new positive rewards system for my students.

We will be using desk pets!

Desk pets are tiny erasers (usually animals and food items) that students collect as they participate in lessons. The erasers are collected in "habitats" that the students are able to decorate. Once the habitat is complete, the students take their pets home and are able to "adopt" a new pet. This project is an alternative to stickers, trinket boxes, and treasure box toys that many times get lost/ broken quickly. Students will have opportunities to keep a journal on their journey as "pet owners" and document with pictures and entries.
