My Project
The COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on the performing arts world. Devoted audiences witnessed famous performers singing from the safety of their living rooms. Arts education did not escape this ordeal unscathed.
As a music teacher, I want my youngest students to have immediate access to the collaborative, creative, and social aspects of large group music making.
Reintegrating into school after the pandemic requires many young students to relearn teamwork and other social emotional skills. I believe large group collaborative music composition and improvisation is the perfect vehicle for that project!
