Designing Work To Inspire and Motivate

Help me give my students a room divider, bar stools, and a desk for a learning space that inspires them to produce authentic writing that speaks to them and for them.

My Project

Each student is different and unique in their own way. The goal of these supplies is to provide opportunities for students to explore and express themselves in spaces that are as unique as they are. Considering how active and mobile they are, providing space for them to develop unique products is a special opportunity that they do not always have available.

In a world of gaming, texting, and Tic Tok, I want to create a tech influenced space for them to collaborate and write inspiring texts.

Writing is a challenge for many of our students, and this space imparts inspiration from their norm into their academic world.

The desk yields space for two students to stand or sit and produce writing for the current age from a gaming desk. The stools give provide an opportunity for the students to sit at the higher desk, feeling in charge of their writing. The partition blocks some of the hindrances of their success, giving them greater opportunities to focus on their productivity.

The ultimate goal is to modify what school feels like and present a space for them to design work that represents their authentic selves and their generation. When presented with project topics about the environment, technology, or society, this space allows students to step up and respond for 2024 as opposed to 1995.
