Our school vision is to empower all learners to excel in our global society. Community, collaboration, creativity and commitment are highly valued in this school that has been a neighborhood center for more than 50 years. We also have a sister school in Guatemala that we have supported for almost 30 years.

My Project
Kids can use engineering to help impact global challenges. We want to use our makerspace to help us think about problems that kids around the world face daily.
We study world issues and use our skills in inquiry to better understand how to take action and make an impact.
Using tools like legos, cardboard, cardstock, tape, staples, straws, and a 3D pen allows our students to engineer models of possible solutions that might make the most effective change in the world. We use the inquiry cycle to revise and improve on their ideas. These simple, but important, materials form the basic building blocks of our collaborative and creative problem-solving lab.
