This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our 6th grade STEM students are ending the year with a favorite project, they are designing their own solar systems! This fun project allows students to apply everything they have learned in science this year about astronomy in a creative way.

In addition to a team power point, students also make 3d models of their designs!

They learn to papier Mache and afterwards paint their planets and add final details, like moons, rings, etc. Finally, they end this project with a team presentation . It is so much fun and truly this project has been a student and teacher favorite all year long.
