Design Thinking Classroom!

I need to attend a Design Thinking conference to evolve my teaching to help prepare my students for the careers of the future.

FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Martinez's classroom raised $1,290

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students love to read, create and learn. I teach a second-grade class formed with 10 girls and 10 boys whose parents may not have the financial resources or time available to provide them with the skills and material needed to prepare them for the careers of the future.

I want to help create future innovators and breakthrough thinkers.

I love to create lessons that connect how the real world problem-solves and what one can do through Design Thinking.

My Project

Through this professional development on Design Thinking, I will be able to provide my students with many lessons and opportunities to use the design thinking process to identify and solve problems by creating new, useful or imaginative solutions.

Design Thinking will help my students develop a growth mindset and important problem solving, analytical and spatial thinking skills.

All important skills that they will need to be successful in their future careers.

The Design Thinking professional development will equip me with the tools, knowledge, and support I need to embrace creativity and making in my classroom to improve my students' performance, engagement, and learning.
