My Project
My students are at their best when they can show their creativity through hands-on learning experiences. The Structural and Interior Design Project will provide my Engineering students with the opportunity to showcase their and build their computer aided drafting structures by building a stand-alone structure. Then, my Business Finance students will create a budget and choose supplies to complete the interior design portion of the project. With these supplies, Engineering Students will showcase their understanding and mastery of elements of design principles while simultaneously allowing Business Finance Students the chance to practice budgeting and incorporate commercial design as well.
This across-curricular, group collaborative project will be conducted in class, offering students a practical outlet for their creative abilities.
Leveraging scrapbook paper, paper tape, wood glue balsa (soft) wood and building supplies such as pliers, wood cutters, and sanding paper; students will have the opportunity to apply their own customized wallpapers, fostering a deeper engagement with and ownership of this project.
This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
