This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are curious, creative, and eager to explore new ways of expressing themselves. They come from diverse backgrounds and often don’t have access to art-making tools outside of school. For many of them, the art room is where they feel the most confident, inspired, and free to take risks. By providing new opportunities for hands-on creation, I can help them discover their voices and see themselves as true artists and designers.

We are requesting a sublimation printer and paper to introduce students to the exciting world of printmaking and digital design.

With this tool, students will be able to transform their original drawings and digital artwork into tangible creations—such as posters, fabric prints, mugs, and T-shirts. This process allows them to see how their ideas can move beyond paper into real-world products, combining both art and technology.

Printmaking is not just about making beautiful things; it’s about problem-solving, experimenting, and storytelling. A sublimation printer will give my students the ability to design, test, and refine their artwork while learning about color, composition, and visual communication in a modern way.
