This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Several students do not have access to proper hygiene products on a daily basis. Many of my students are either athletes and/or enrolled in PE classes since they are mostly freshmen. Sometimes students come to class without deodorant and are self-conscious about how they smell after morning practice or PE class. I want all my students to feel comfortable and supported; having a cabinet of products such as travel size deodorant allow students to discreetly get what they need and may not have access to otherwise. Students then can keep the travel size item in their backpacks for future use.
