My Project

Teaching children about good hygiene at a young age helps prepare them for later in life. If they are taught to brush their teeth daily to help prevent cavities, then they will continue this habit later in life when they no longer have someone to tell them that they have to.

Providing the students with the proper tools to have good oral hygiene can help support good oral/dental health as well as good overall health.

Furthermore, when children are healthy, they can come to school and learn every day. Dental problems such as cavities or gum disease can impair your ability to eat and speak properly as well as cause pain and bad breath. With brushing and flossing every day, it helps keep the bacteria in the mouth under control.

With these supplies, the students will learn about good dental hygiene practices and have the materials to practice this at home. A happy mouth is a healthy mouth which leads to an overall healthier student.
