My Project
Our students have begun to discover and enjoy gaming with our tabletop game library. They check out games to take home, play games in the library, and request new games they would like to try. Lately, students have been asking for Dungeons and Dragons and the more involved role-playing experience that comes with it.
By providing Dungeons and Dragons resources, students of all levels will have the chance to build community, practice problem solving, and develop critical thinking skills through high-quality role-playing.
And because playing and winning the campaigns are intrinsically important to students, they will willingly practice academic skills that cross disciplines: invention, research, storytelling, character development, calculations, scientific principles, and more. And the resources requested in the project will provide students with pre-made campaigns to get started as well as everything they will need to develop their own campaigns in no time at all, adding additional practice with social-emotional, life, and academic skills.
