My Students
My students are a great group of students who are filled with a lot of energy. My students are a mixture of Brooklyn natives and recent immigrants to the country. My students enjoy being challenged and working with technology in the classroom.
Most of my students come from impoverished, low-income households and all of my students qualify for free lunch.
As a school we are pushing our students to develop technology skills and work through an online platform. My students love the instant access this platform provides.
My Project
I am extremely fortunate to be a teacher who has access to computers in my classroom. I have found that these computers have been a game changer for my students access to knowledge and engagement. Computers have also help supported my ability to meet the needs of my various learners in my classroom. I depend on them for a quick image reference, students ability to access online learning materials, translations, and videos for explanations. Unfortunately, overtime many of my computers have become outdated or have succumbed to the wear and tear of 85 students handling them a day. My students need new, sturdy updated Dell Chromebooks so they can continue to see success in my classroom.
