My Students
Think about your favorite part of school as a child. Was it recess? Lunch? Gym? Well, if you ask my First Graders, their answer will be math centers or book club.
This is because they love being independent, being engaged and using their hands to play educational games.
My students character strengths include, curiosity, love of learning, kindness and humor. Even though they come from diverse backgrounds they use these strengths to suprise me everyday. What I enjoy most about my students is that I can trust them to work in centers indepently to practice a skill and get work done!
My Project
This school year, I've inherited a classroom from a teacher who retired after 29 years. Her devotion and love of this profession inspires me. I am so grateful that she was so passionate because she left many supplies, hands on and handmade resources left behind.
With the adundance of resources and the lack of shelving, I want to use these cabinets to organize all of the games shes put so much time into making.
With all the open shelves and boxes of games, I want to declutter my classroom so it will be more aesthetically pleasing and less stimulating to students.
