This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students really need access to dependable dictionaries for their studies, course work, and reading circles! Our learners are eager to increase their vocabulary and explore more literature in English. Reading at a middle school grade level is a challenge due to their limited vocabulary, and sharing dictionaries is just not a viable option with a classroom full of curious readers. These dictionaries will allow them to move faster through reading tests, literature round robin reads, and vocabulary explorations at a greater pace. These kids really do want to do their best, and these dictionaries will go a long way to providing them the tools they need to succeed in the classroom, and bestow them a richer vocabulary to describe their world.
