My Project
The book "Deep Kindness" by Houston Kraft will guide my students and challenge them in how they think, talk and act in regards to kindness. It will push my students to go beyond simply being nice, and truly learn ways they can be kind in all aspects of their lives. The book also provides students with a practical plan and resources to put what they are learning into action.
Students will use the knowledge they gain from the book to plan and carry-out projects that will address a "Kindness Gap" in our school community.
The ultimate goal is to empower and support students in helping create a greater sense of belonging for everyone at our school.
In our student leadership program, we believe that every student can be a leader and use their influence to have a positive impact on those around them. Students take this class because they want to serve the students and staff and help create a positive school climate.
