This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are hard working, creative, highly motivated and diverse group of learners. They come to school ready to learn, but many of them have not had access to quality literature.
Over half of my scholars are second language students who are three grade levels behind.
I feel that books from a variety of genres will get them excited about reading. I will use the book sets for small group instruction and the individual titles for our classroom library. The books will indeed be a "deep dive" into the world of reading.
