This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are writers, readers, and historians. In our classroom, we explore many different topics throughout the year. Their excitement about learning is contagious and they continue to want to explore more.

I challenge my students to think in new and exciting ways about the world they live in.

I try to provide as much as I can so that my students can have as many tools as possible in the classroom.

I am lucky to work with such amazing students that come to school eager to learn. Our school is a Pre-K to 5th-grade building that helps prepare students to be college and career-ready. We strive to help our students get the best education possible.

My Project

These materials will be used for social issue book clubs. Students will use these books in a variety of ways to study how a character's actions may influence other characters. Students will also have a chance to compare books by the same author and the unique ways in which they write.

Books can make an impact in a reader's life and these books will do just that!

The books not only represent deep and rich characters, but the characters also reflect different cultures. I believe it is important for students to learn about different cultures than their own.
