Help me give my students the ability to have their hands on actual books as they are developing reading skills and becoming good readers and decoders.

My Project
Students need the ability to have a book in their hands as they are developing readers. I work with struggling students whose skills are often behind their peers. To help them, I am requesting BOB Books. These books provide the students with many different strategies.
These books give them support to focus on decoding strategies, along with certain skill sets and patterns that will support the current Reading Intervention curriculum, Really Great Reading.
Having a physical book in their hands helps them develop concepts of print as well as tracking when they are learning to decode and begin reading. I am requesting decodable readers to use in my classroom to assist in developing these skills. Our current curriculum uses passages for decoding but I also see a great benefit of having an actual book in their hands which in turn helps develop these skills to make them want to be lifelong readers and learners.
I am also asking for highlighters for the students to hold when they are reading. They often need to see it in a different color to actually make it "sink in." The Amazon gift cards will be used to buy other essentials for our classroom.
