My Project
Our students' reading abilities have been impacted by COVID-19. Our teachers are working really hard at teaching phonics to our students, but the students don't have any books to read to practice the skills they are learning.
Decodable texts in our kinder, 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade classrooms will help our students increase their reading skills. They will be able to apply their phonics learning to text and increase their reading abilities.
This year our students have loved reading real books but so many of them are above their reading levels. Having decodable texts in our classrooms will help them have something to read!
