This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First grade a pivotal time for students to begin opening their world and mind to the world of reading. Students are beginning to become more aware of letters, sounds, and words. They are starting to piece those things together creating the ability to begin reading books at their own demise.
With the help of these decodable readers, students will be giving the opportunity to accelerate their learning and achievement in the world of reading.
Not only will my students have access to books that meet them at their learning level, but they will also have books that will create a space for them to learn and grow with the books that they have access to.
