My Project
What I love about my students are their individual personalities! They individually bring joy, excitement, and more to our classroom. Without one of them, our classroom is not the same. Our school shares many cultures and is very diverse. Imagine all that these children bring to us to create such a wholesome environment. What makes them special is that they show up every day. They try their best and want to learn.
These items will help supplement their learning of literacy utilizing the science of reading in our curriculum.
Students need a sense of belonging and pride in their learning. They need confidence in reading. These are the building blocks in which their literacy skills will strengthen. The pandemic created a stalemate in being able to read books in hand. It lessened the importance of literacy that is not digital. These resources will help begin to support those needs.
My goal is to create a joy and passion for reading. Putting these books in their hands to read as their own book will give them a sense of ownership to their reading.
