This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My kindergarten students are learning to read. Now that they know their letter names and letter sounds, they are working on their decoding skills. They get so excited when they can read a beginning reader passages.
I will use the Teachers Pay teachers gift card to purchase decodable readers that I can make for my students. These black-and-white versions of the books will be used at home. The printer ink will be used to make color versions of the readers. These books will then be made available for students to read in class.
