Flexible seating allows students to work where they are most comfortable and in a position that works best for them. Currently my students are choosing to work in a various of locations around our room such as: sitting on the floor and using their chair as a desk, on bean bag chairs, laying on the floor or sitting at one of the large tables. When my students are given the choice on where they would like to work they are happier, more willing to complete tasks, and more engaged in their learning.
Portable student desks will allow my students a sturdy surface to work on along with a safe place for their classroom materials.
My students love the freedom that flexible sitting provides but keeping their classroom materials from getting stepped on or scattered has been a challenge. A portable desk will give them the freedom to move around the room and the peace of mind that they have a safe place for their things while they work.
