My Students

My students are imaginative and fun-loving kids! They are hard-working students who are held to high expectations.

They want to succeed and try their best every day.

Many of my students face numerous challenges in their lives. Despite this, they show up at school excited and ready to learn! My students are singers, readers, and leaders! I couldn't be prouder to be their teacher.

My Project

Boomwhackers are amazing! Never heard of them? They are cool plastic tube instruments that are made into different sizes and colors for different pitches. Instruments are durable and long-lasting and allow students to learn an array of music standards such as steady beat, rhythm, melody, and harmony. In my classroom, 3-5th grade enjoy playing them! Though we do have a classroom set, the problem is we only have the standard C scale notes! No sharps/ flats! We have no high octave notes! We have no low octave notes!

For the students in the upper levels, its a struggle to play more complex songs because we are missing so many important notes!

The goal of this project is fill in those missing Boomwhackers, so that we can expand our music selections--Pink Panther, Pirates of the Caribbean Theme, the Imperial March as well as some cool song for Christmas!
