My Project
Hello! I am a brand new, first year Deaf and Hard of Hearing, DHH, teacher. I work at a high school and have the most amazing students! I am currently purchasing and creating a lot of materials myself, and it has been overwhelming since I need to use resources that include and promote American Sign Language. While I am trying my best, there are some items, that will greatly help support my students needs. Since, I teach all high school grade levels and subjects, it has been a challenge navigating and finding a variety of appropriate projects, and assignments to support my students' language, learning and educational needs. I am in need of supplies that I can use to reinforce concepts to ensure understanding. In addition, I also work with DHH students who have additional support needs. So I am in need of materials that will support alternative curriculum. My requests will help provide more curriculum and supplies, for all my students, to ensure that they have exposure to language, and the educational resources to help them achieve success. To be specific, Teachers Pay Teachers will allow me to find a variety of educational materials that will benefit my students. The requested Lakeshore items will allow me to laminate materials and assignments. This will allow students to bring work home to reinforce and practice concepts with their parents/guardians.
