My Students
Today is a great day to learn something new! Every child who visits the media center has the opportunity to learn something new. "It has been said that 80% of what people learn is visual." Allen Klein
My school is located in a rural county in our state.
The students at my school come from low income housing and are raised by single parents or grandparents. They come to school lacking a lot of the necessary items needed to be successful students. They are eager to learn.
My Project
Students in grades 3-5 use a laptop during class in the media center. They use them to create projects and presentations. With the help of a data projector the students would then be able to present those to the entire class or other classes. When I have students in Kindergarten through second grade I would use the data projector to project webpages and videos for lessons.
This donation would make a difference in my classroom daily.
The projector would be used with every class. Visual learners would be able to see much better with the clear picture this would project. I would have a piece of technology that would be reliable.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
