My Students

My students are a diverse group of kids from the East NY section of Brooklyn growing up in low-income families. My students are finally coming back into the school building after a year and a half of remote learning. Many of the students come from local shelters and need extra LOVE, CARE, and SUPPORT at school. My students are creative, thoughtful innovative, and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically. Truly, they are my inspiration!

Every child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, and my students are becoming enthusiastic learners.

In my self-contained classroom, I incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are!

They are truly an incredible group, and I am so lucky and thankful to have a new group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!

My Project

My sole purpose as an educator is to ensure that every student learns. Gathering and using data about what has been learned and what needs to be learned is pivotal to that. Without data, students in schools would be like patients going to doctors’ offices and being prescribed treatment according to their age instead of their symptoms.

My goal is to make this the best learning experience for all my students in the classroom.

Teacher Pay Teachers is a resource that would provide me with a wealth of resources to support the instructional endeavors necessary to meet the needs of my students. I am dedicated to the profession and to my students.

The resources that I will provide for my students will help bridge the gap through small groups and center activities. The data coming back into school this year shows that many of my students are below average. I want to be able to provide my students with reading and math intervention tools. It is my goal to reinforce the skills missed during the pandemic while teaching grade-level content. I will be able to provide my students with digital assessments, digital activities for the curriculum, project-based learning activities, build their social-emotional skills, and virtual learning games.
