Dashing Through the Snow

Help me give my students 8 Amazon Fire Tablets to give them the chance to conduct research on engineering careers and bring coding and robotics programming to life.

My Project

My students are fun, loving, hardworking and technology lovers. They are 21st Century life-long learners. I love that they love learning. They are special because they are kind to each other. They understand the value of teamwork and show integrity on a daily basis. They are simply amazing!

These 8 Fire Tablets will allow my students to learn how to code for the DASH and DOT robots along with other brands.

Having these Fire tablets will allow my students to work in groups collaboratively in order to research the different types of STEM careers with emphasis on the types of computer science careers. My students will create their presentation using the Fire tablets and present their information on computer science careers to the class.

My students, in teams will build several winter "SNOWY" wonderland mini OBSTACLE courses in our science lab and hallway. Each team will try programming their DASH and DOT robots to successfully complete the course using the least amount of LINE OF CODES.

Teaching my students programming, I believe will be a great way to develop their team-building , communication and problem solving skills.

According to "teach your kids coding," Communication skills empowers children to navigate social environments, collaborate with others, perform well academically, and achieve their goals".

Coding allows us to create things such as computer software, websites, apps and video games. Please help me give my students the opportunity to become 21st Century researchers and coders. I can't wait to see them DASH THROUGH THE SNOW.
