Dashing Through the Classroom

My students need to be able to compete in 21 century and Dash the robot is a great way for them to start coding and using technology with hands on experience.

My Students

My students walk into our classroom every day with smiles on their face, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. They love seeing their peers, teachers and other people in the building that greet them daily.

I teach at a Title I school in North Carolina where 70 percent of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend. Yet despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.

These students are creative, have great imaginations and are higher level thinkers.

My Project

Our school has two robots that we use for over 700 students. We have lead teachers and parent volunteers that help pull students to teach them how to use the robots. They are learning to code and program them. So far they've made them move, talk and dance.

We want to raise children that are ready to compete globally in a tech world.

We want to give our students the very best chance to thrive in a world fueled by technology. In a 70%+ free and reduced lunch, our students don't have the opportunities that others have. These robots will give these students a chance to use technology in ways that improve their learning.
