My students are so full of life and love of learning. The population, of our little Title I school in New York, is made up of many different cultures from all over the world, who work together to help build peace at home, at school and in our community. They are the peace builders for the future.
They are learning to communicate and collaborate to solve problems and learn.
They are learning to have a growth mindset and know that mistakes only open another door towards the solution. They will practice these skills and more as we explore through STEAM activities.
My Project
My students need to keep up with the latest in technology and science. The Dot and Dash robots will expose K to 5 students to the language of coding. Computer science is a career that is in the future for my students. Many minorities are not equally represented in the Computer Science field.
These robots can help them learn the language of coding at an early age, so they can be college and career ready.
They won't be intimidated by the complexity when they get older because they will have had exposure at an early age. They will learn in a fun and creative way.
