This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are very low income and high poverty. We are a Title I school. Our library serves 950 students in grades Pre-K - 6th grade. Students love coming into the library to get new books and do Makerspace activities.

Our student love working with robotics and coding.

They love coming to the library to experience all of these new activities. Robots are a great way for student to learn to program using computer science and coding. The kids get so amazed at what they are able to accomplish.

My Project

My students will use Dash and it's accessories in order to learn coding. They will learn the basics of coding and how to get a robot to complete tasks that they have set in place for it.

My students have started learning how to code using computers, but now they could actually see their code in action by programming a robot.

Coding is such an important tool for kids to learn for jobs of the future. They students have a lot of fun coding and they will get to show off what they learn. This knowledge will help them find interests for the future.
