Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

With the Dash robots, I will help my students to understand coding. They will understand how to write code in order to make their robots achieve certain goals. They will be able to find bugs in their programs and debug them. They will learn how to work cooperatively in groups to achieve success.

They will have the robots run a course on the floor.

The students will also get their robots to move items a certain distance or to a certain spot. Unlike doing it on the computer the students will be able to see how their codes work or do not work. They will work together using critical thinking skills to figure out why is it not working. Where did it go wrong? Why? How do we fix it?

The opportunities are endless with these robots. I will see them learning and enjoying it and realizing the possibilities that are out there for them. I want to get girls involved in technology and see how much fun it can be.
