My Students
My students are 21st century learners! They are ready to create and invent together in a hands-on engaging way.
My students are from a diverse school located in a suburb just blocks from Metro Detroit.
We are a Title I school and the students I service come from a variety of backgrounds--many of them are immigrants and lack some of the background experiences and language experiences their peers have. In order to make learning fun for everyone, despite their varying needs, I enjoy hands-on experiences that will get my students excited to learn.
My Project
As the science and math enrichment teacher, I am requesting a Dash & Dot Wonder Pack and Launcher Kit. This resource will be the perfect way for me to continue the excitement that was created when my students took part in The Hour of Code.
My vision is to have my students use the markers and books to create sketches of what they want Dash and Dot to do. Students will then use the Dot and Dash robots and apply what they learned from their previous coding experience to get Dash and Dot to complete a task.
Your contribution to this project will help my students become 21st-century learners.
Students will need to exhibit the 4C's--collaboration, creativity, communication, and critical thinking to have the skills needed for our Dash and Dot adventures. My hope is that by sparking their interest at a young age, it will get them excited about robotics and they will join the middle school Robotics Team!
