My students need a sound system for our school gymnasium. This includes 3 power amplifiers, a bluetooth rack mount cd player and receiver and the installation of gear.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"Lack of activity destroys the good condition of every human being, while movement and methodical physical exercise save it and preserve it." Plato must have shared the same enthusiasm for physical activity that our students demonstrate every day.
Our students are an energetic and vibrant group of 14-18 year learners who love physical activity.
From physical education to interscholastic athletics, these students are passionate about movement and enjoy kinesthetic activities. Hailing from diverse backgrounds, our students may be different but they share one commonality: their school pride. Whether it is listening to their cheers during a volleyball game, or watching their competitive nature during a team sports physical education class, the staff here are constantly motivated by one factor, our students.
My Project
The requested materials will combine to provide a new sound system for the gymnasium. This sound system will impact every student who attends our school, in addition to many visiting groups of parents, teachers and children. The physical education department will use the sound system for many different activities and special events. Programs such as the HOP Sports program, the pacer fitness testing, and the fitness gram testing require a sound system to deliver the full content. The sound system will not only enable these programs, but bring them to life! The sounds and music help motivate students and reaches more learners who are auditory based. Also, the sound system will be used for large group presentations such as the 2014 Student Athletic Training Seminar and athlete health seminars such as stress relief techniques. Along with these important uses, the sound system will also assist staff in helping recognize the important accomplishments of student athletes.
Currently, physical education classes contain an average of 50 students.
Classes such as team sports, individual sports, personal fitness and fitness lifestyle will use the gymnasium daily and will benefit from the increased communication between students and teachers. The sound system will give staff a medium through which they will be able to reach out to more students sharing the importance of physical activity in daily life.
