My Project
My students must enhance their strength and flexibility in order to perform the skills required in the dance industry. Dance and the skill level at which these athletes perform and compete is changing, rapidly. My dancers want to attend the most challenging dance conventions, competitions, and workshops; they want to audition for the top dance programs in the country and for some of the worlds most sought-after artists. My school gym facility doesn’t have a large collection of workout equipment specific to dancers, so I would like to have yoga blocks, mats, and the cleaning supplies needed to maintain the equipment to help them pursue their goals and keep them at their top physical shape.
Dancers who notice a visible change in their stamina, flexibility, and skill level start to find the process fun and welcome the challenges; creating a passion and energy for the art that propels them towards advancing opportunities.
Helping students learn that taking care of their bodies, their instruments, is vital to their success, and is the perfect way to increase their longevity in the industry while building smarter and safer athletes. My dancers will love having their own yoga mats and blocks!
