it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Raise your hand if you like to dance while listening to music. My students would like to learn various dances during music class, and express themselves through dance. Unfortunately, at this time, this is not possible for them. Why not help make their dreams come true?
Presently, I teach elementary/middle school music (5-8) at a high-needs public school in Illinois.
Due to budget cuts, the school is unable to fund a music program. Music, being an interdisciplinary subject, encompasses all subjects students encounter during their education. The students at this school are very enthusiastic about music and should have a top-notch music program. This can only be possible with your help!
My Project
Recently, our Wii system stopped working, and I have some very sad faces. Our children really enjoy learning new dances. Having the Wii system and Just Dance games, will allow the students a chance to explore new music, listen to various genres of music, and learn dances that will express their feelings and emotions. Music is very entertaining and allows for freedom of expression. My students deserve the opportunity to express themselves through music, and dancing to music and expressing themselves will provide that foundation.
Music is the universal language and provides an experience that will allow the students to appreciate the creative process and develop a commitment to excellence.
